Displaced when their New Jersey home was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy in 2012, Andrea and Lawrence Charles and their 7 year old daughter Zoe moved around the country for over a year before arriving homeless in Seattle. With the help of the YWCA, the family was able to get stable housing. Now both parents are working, Lawrence for Republic Parking and Andea for a Microsoft sub-contractor and Zoe is thriving a neighborhood school. On top of job hunting and looking for permanent housing, Andrea has been very active in the comunity as an advocate for other homeless families
