“It took years for me to grow up and become the man that I should be,” Dion Willis tells his case manager, Ali Hufane. Dion’s mom had been diagnosed with cancer when he was a small child, and he was raised by relatives; he says he saw a lot of things he shouldn’t see, and got involved in things he shouldn’t have. Traveling down the wrong path led to homelessness with his wife and baby. Dion describes the decision to turn his life around as the proudest moment of his life, and credits his loving wife and his faith community in helping him to be the best father he can be.
